Lori's Wedding

Lori's wedding was short and sweet. I got a great picture of my grandparents in front of a beautiful stain glass window inside the church. Summer made it through the whole thing with only a few peeps. She colored on a book about Moses and Noah...I don't think that's a sin...Anway, afterwards it was picture time and Summer just wasn't in the mood. That's why I've got the sad face. LOL. The one of my grandmother and I walking with Summer will be a precious keepsake, I can tell. Summer was so excited to hold grandmas hand. I also got an awesome pic of Riley and I!!! Go me.

Car Ride to Ohio and Aunt Karen's House

She and I were the only ones awake in the car (other than dad) so we had fun playing games. She enjoyed kicking back with her pillow behind her head and watching Dora for most of the trip. Due to the excessive Dora, I used my time to watch the scenary go by.

Once we got to my aunt's house, Summer joined her two other cousins (these are the three greatgrand babies, Summer being the youngest by 4 months). They had a blast wearing each other out before bed time. They ran all over the yard, played in the pool and pushed Summer around in their orange car. Later, after we had come in to calm down, they decided to chill in Papa's chair (Uncle Tim's chair). It was so sweet and I know my uncle would have loved to share his seat with three beautiful women. Then Hailey wanted to show Summer how to break it down and spin all around the floor. The whole time she would yell, "GO Summer, go Summer!" It was hillarious!

Paints

This was a fantastic new adventure. I was a little nervous letting her get dirty with the paints but she had so much fun it was worth it. She had a good time painting with the brush at first, but then I showered her how to do finger paints and from then on, she would paint her hand and use it to color the paper. I can't say I was totally innocent because there is some evidence that I had my fingers in the paints as well (Mommy and Summer handprint pages!).

Playing in the Woods

Look at my little girl exploring those flowers. She is so curious. And look at those baby curls! She is going to be such a heart breaker. Lol.

Sit back and smell the flowers or in Summer's case, step up and take a big wiff!

I was able to pin a daisy in her hair and she actually left it there! She is becoming quite the little princess. And then she preceeded to pull one apart...it's good to be well rounded.

What a change it attitude! She went from Mrs. Pouty to a smiling ray of sunshine! She is also doing a cute pose. She is mimicking me as I was laying on the grass taking photos of her.

Into the woods Summer goes, to explore the unknown. She has no problem pushing past the prickers and briars. Summer found some similar flowers to the ones in the yard and enjoyed picking them.

Summer has no fear. She loves climbing on the rocks, without help! I can see rock climbing in the future!!! Just like her mommy.
Summer and I retired to the rocking chairs on the porch and she thought it was so hiliarious to play patty cake. She just couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't help myself either. Her face is priceless!

Hot Tub Fun

This will be just a fun array of pictures. This was Saturday night, hanging out at Laura's house. We decided after a long day we would enjoy the bubbles of the hot tub. It was tons of fun...as you will soon see. Enjoy!

Hilton Head Island

Once Summer figured out the water was nothing to fear, she bravely endured a splash session,
soaking both Nate and I. She really became a fish, wanting anyone to take her deep into the water so they could float and watch for dolphins! We saw a pod of dolphins swimming close to shore, showing off and spreading smiles across the beach.

I couldn't help putting this one up...It warms my heart. Too cute!

After splashing in the water, it was time for Summer to have a juice break. It is such a sweet picture, especially with the water in the background. Good eye, Nate!

Summer was walking up and down this slope at the beach. She just couldn't do it enough times! This was after we spent some time in the beach muck next to the river. We had fun squishing our toes in the goey mud, including Nate, who buried his knee into the mud.

Nate catching the ultimate catch!!! Me! Hehe. This is such a corny picture and I'm not quite sure why we were doing it, but look at the smile on his face! Priceless! Nate says it would have been a better picture if his finger was really hooking my lip...me, not so much. ;-p

Caught in a moment. Lol. Nate and I are caught on camera and look!, we're both smiling! Who would have thought. I love this picture of us. All and all that weekend was great.

Nate's big project while we were at the beach. While it started out as a small hole for his legs, it ended up consuming him and his time. He was sad to leave it behind claiming it wasn't deep enough yet!
