Lori's Wedding

Lori's wedding was short and sweet. I got a great picture of my grandparents in front of a beautiful stain glass window inside the church. Summer made it through the whole thing with only a few peeps. She colored on a book about Moses and Noah...I don't think that's a sin...Anway, afterwards it was picture time and Summer just wasn't in the mood. That's why I've got the sad face. LOL. The one of my grandmother and I walking with Summer will be a precious keepsake, I can tell. Summer was so excited to hold grandmas hand. I also got an awesome pic of Riley and I!!! Go me.

Car Ride to Ohio and Aunt Karen's House

She and I were the only ones awake in the car (other than dad) so we had fun playing games. She enjoyed kicking back with her pillow behind her head and watching Dora for most of the trip. Due to the excessive Dora, I used my time to watch the scenary go by.

Once we got to my aunt's house, Summer joined her two other cousins (these are the three greatgrand babies, Summer being the youngest by 4 months). They had a blast wearing each other out before bed time. They ran all over the yard, played in the pool and pushed Summer around in their orange car. Later, after we had come in to calm down, they decided to chill in Papa's chair (Uncle Tim's chair). It was so sweet and I know my uncle would have loved to share his seat with three beautiful women. Then Hailey wanted to show Summer how to break it down and spin all around the floor. The whole time she would yell, "GO Summer, go Summer!" It was hillarious!

Paints

This was a fantastic new adventure. I was a little nervous letting her get dirty with the paints but she had so much fun it was worth it. She had a good time painting with the brush at first, but then I showered her how to do finger paints and from then on, she would paint her hand and use it to color the paper. I can't say I was totally innocent because there is some evidence that I had my fingers in the paints as well (Mommy and Summer handprint pages!).
